Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how StackTrack ("we", "us", "the app") handles information when you use our iOS application. StackTrack is operated by an independent developer based in the United States.
What we collect
| Category | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address, optional display name, Apple Sign In identifier | To create and authenticate your account |
| Protocol & log data | Peptides, dosing schedules, injections, vials, vendors, notes | Core app functionality (your tracker) |
| Health metrics | Body weight, sleep, activity (only if you grant HealthKit permission) | To enrich your check-ins and trend graphs |
| Check-ins | Pain / recovery / sleep / energy / mood scores, optional progress photos | Your subjective tracking |
| Bloodwork | PDFs you upload, biomarker values you enter | Your lab results history; if you use AI insights, the lab text/values are sent to xAI |
| AI feature content | Questions you send, plus any bloodwork text and progress photos you submit to AI features | To generate a response; sent to xAI (Grok). You are asked to consent before any data is sent. |
| Purchases | Subscription / one-time purchase status | To grant Pro features |
We do not collect: location, advertising identifiers, contacts, browsing history, or device telemetry beyond standard Apple-provided crash logs.
Where your data lives
- On your device: all of your protocols, injections, check-ins, vial data, and the AI chat history are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- Firebase Authentication: your email and a session token, used to sign you in.
- Firebase Firestore: a "whitelist" record (if you've been granted complimentary Pro access) and minimal profile metadata.
- RevenueCat: subscription/purchase status, tied to your account.
- xAI (Grok API): our AI features are powered by xAI. When you use them, the data you submit is transmitted to xAI to generate a response: your questions plus the profile and recent tracking entries used as context — your protocols, latest check-in, and bloodwork (Ask assistant); the lab values or documents you provide (bloodwork insights); and the progress photos you submit (body-composition analysis). We ask for your explicit consent before any data is sent to xAI, and you can use the rest of StackTrack without AI features. xAI processes this data under its own terms; we do not store your AI content on our servers.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not use your data for advertising or tracking across other apps.
- We do not share your data with data brokers or third-party analytics SDKs.
Health data (Apple Health / HealthKit)
If you grant permission, StackTrack reads the metrics you choose to share — body weight, sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, active energy, and steps — to display recovery and progress trends inside the app. These Apple Health readings are processed only on your device; we do not upload them to our servers and we do not send your Apple Health feed to xAI or any other third party. With your permission, StackTrack also writes body weight you log in a check-in back to Apple Health. (Note: data you enter yourself into a check-in or bloodwork record may be sent to xAI if you choose to use an AI feature — see "Where your data lives" above. That is separate from your Apple Health data.)
Photos
Progress photos you attach to check-ins are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our own servers. The only exception is the optional AI body-composition analysis: if you choose to run it, the photo you submit is sent to xAI (Grok) to generate that single result, after you consent. If you don't use that feature, your photos never leave your device.
Children
StackTrack is rated 17+ and is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
